"It's been 3 years since our daughter started seeing you. Prior to working with you, we have taken A to numerous professionals on the account of the unique challenge of having a private [chronic ] medical [bowel and bladder condition.] Even the highly regarded therapists were not able to make our daughter comfortable to work on issues directly affecting her personal, family, social, and academic life.

'That was all until we met you. You had the patience, understanding, and expertise to foster strength in the face of adversity. Understanding support in the face of shame, and self-loathing, and courage in the place of fear and isolation.

"My son JM has been a patient of Dr. Merritt Jensen for about 2 years. At the age of 5 he was still wetting himself during the day as well as night. I had seen another therapist from another health system for about 6 months and I felt she never knew my son at all. From the first time I saw Dr. Jensen I felt she was amazing and caring and knew [my son.] She talked to him, on his level, and helped me out tremendously with knowing how to deal with JM and what to expect and resources for me to understand him and what was going on with him. I was so frustrated, having raised four daughters and not having any issues like this with them. I was lost. Totally lost. JM would come home from his appointments and things she said to him about his tricky bladder and 'JM in Charge' would come out of his mouth. For a child with ADHD and who has a hard time sitting still for 2 minutes, she was able to get through to him. As of now he has been dry for about 6 weeks during the day...this has been a miracle for me. I know there might be a slip here and there but I know that's ok. Dr. Jensen has taught me that...I don't know where I would be without her help with JM and her guidance for me.

I truly feel bad for any parent that is struggling with a child with wetting issues and might have additional issues like ADHD and not being able to have Dr. Jensen to help and guide them through this...what a valuable asset she is to her patients as well as their parents."
