About Me

Pediatric Health Clinical Psychologist since 2002

I am a dedicated pediatric psychologist skilled at delivering comprehensive consultation and therapeutic intervention services for children, adolescents, young-adults and their families across a broad range of mental health and medical needs.

I completed my pediatric health doctoral training at The University of Miami, my neuropsychology and pediatric psychology internship as well as my pediatric psychology post-doctoral fellowship training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). I worked as a licensed staff psychologist within the Divisions of Oncology and Urology at CHOP for over a decade.

My clinical skills include conducting clinical consultations and providing developmentally appropriate, behaviorally-based interventions tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. Identifying and addressing barriers to treatment and adherence to care plans is also essential to successfully addressing a spectrum of academic, behavioral, emotional and social concerns.

I provide developmentally appropriate guidance and support for the entire family. It's teamwork!

My Philosophy
My Philosophy

We all want to do well and to feel accomplished, appreciated and respected.  We want to feel seen.

When we're struggling with something, whether academic, behavioral, emotional or social, it impacts how we think and feel.  These thoughts and feelings then impact how we view the world.  Our views influence our decision-making and shape our behavior.  In turn, what happens in our world is affected.

Using an individualized blend of evidence-based cognitive behavioral strategies (CBT), dialectical behavior approaches (DBT) and family systems frameworks, we will work together to figure out strategies and skills to improve functioning.  Mastering these new skills and being able to apply them to a broad range of environments leads to more effective interactions with the world.  Growth and improved functioning are always our goal.

Warmth, kindness, patience, understanding and acceptance describe my approach to providing therapeutic care.  I am honored to be trusted with the knowledge of families' most private challenges, and welcome the opportunity to walk the path toward increased functioning and well-being with them.  Everyone deserves to be heard, respected and to feel proud of themselves and their accomplishments.

I look forward to talking with you about how I might be able to be helpful to you and your family.
