We all face challenges throughout life, and whether big or small, it's nice to have someone with whom to share our experiences, explore barriers to success, plan for new approaches to problems, and practice and incorporate new skills.
Just like every child, adolescent or young-adult has a pediatrician or family practice physician to monitor their growth and development, young people and their families truly benefit from also fostering a relationship with a child psychologist. Then, if and when challenges arise, the therapeutic relationship and trust is already there, waiting to support behavioral, emotional and social growth and development.
With over two decades of clinical experience, including over a decade of care as a Pediatric Psychologist at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), I am well versed in providing developmentally appropriate, behaviorally-based consultations and therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of children, adolescents, young adults and their families.
Together, we will explore what's getting in the way for your child. Sometimes the challenges are easy to spot, and other times they requires a lot of digging. I don't give up easily! We will then work together as a team to develop and put into action interventions aimed at improving academic, behavioral, emotional and/or social functioning.

I am curently limited in the number of new families I am able to welcome to the practice, though daytime appointment times (9AM-3PM) may be more readily available.
I certainly understand the frustration that comes with trying to find quality therapeutic care - I wish there were more after-school hours in the day!
